Uh-oh. Lexus has a new model — the RX 330. While the vehicle is similar to the current model (the RX 300), it has some pretty impressive safety enhancements: Front and rear side curtain airbag Supplemental Restraint System, Driver’s-knee airbag Supplemental Restraint System, Dynamic Laser Cruise Control, Lexus Tire Pressure Warning System, Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS), and Lexus DVD Navigation System with backup camera. The last two items are the most impressive. The AFS system “illuminates up to 12 percent more road surface by pivoting the left headlamp up to 15 degrees, and the right headlamp up to 5 degrees while turning” while the backup camera displays the area immediately behind the vehicle on the NAV system (and in full color no less!).
