My wife handed out over 80 packages of candy (she found little Halloween bags from the dollar store, filled them with candy, and sealed them — it made distributing the candy much easier given the crowds of children, parents, teenagers, etc.). When those ran out, she started opening the large bags of candy from Sam’s Club. When that ran out, she opened the “high dollar” candy (name brand merchandise buddy!). When those ran out, we turned out the lights and called it a night. I’ve never seen so many kids. Given that I walk around the neighborhood frequently, I was able to idenitfy some of them (gee, the two boys dressed up as Obi-Wan Kenobi and Mace Windu might just be the two kids who play with light sabers every afternoon in the middle of the street), but some of these kids had to be brought by bus or mini-van. Seriously. It was crazy! According to my wife, the best costume was Madeline.
