It rained early in the afternoon, so I thought the weather would be nice for a ride late in the day. I was right… sort of. Remember how I’ve mentioned the occasional insect appetizer while cycling? Well, tonight it was an insect feast (ugh)! I had a white t-shirt on and everytime I passed through the “cloud” of insects, I would come out the other side looking as though I was wearing a black and white spotted shirt. UGH! Anyway, I ended up cycling 16 miles, so that’s a 4-course meal, huh?

School is back in session which means the kids are out running the roads. While cycling, I had two sets of hecklers today — both cars had teenage girls in it. The stereotype is that only teenage boys cause trouble… hah-hah.

The construction, by the way, has more ropes, barriers, cones, and markings — but very little progress in terms of actual construction. Guess they get paid by the hour.
