I walked four miles tonight

I walked four miles tonight at a pretty good clip — nearly about 4.5 miles per hour. I made a game of jogging from between two light poles along the path, walking between the next two, and then repeating. “OH”, my graduate student assistant from Thailand, has suggested that I either (a) think nothing, (b) [...]

I cycled 20 miles tonight.

I cycled 20 miles tonight. It was nice outside, so it was pretty easy going. The hardest part of the 4 mile circuit is just after that long stretch on Henry. No curves, no variations, no interesting features… just a long path with no breaks. As an aside, I finished posting the Key West photos!

No cycling this evening. There

No cycling this evening. There was too much grading to do. In addition, I’ve decided to work toward an early morning schedule rather than an early evening schedule. I didn’t think 16 miles in the late afternoon heat would have been conducive to waking up bright and early for another ride. An early morning routine [...]

Over 2 hours of tennis

Over 2 hours of tennis tonight. Both sets were very good, but we were only able to finish one of them — 7-5, 5-5. We could finish it up the next time we play, but I think we’ll call it a tie and move on. Some other people played there tonight — they only stayed [...]

If it wasn’t for the

If it wasn’t for the wind, tonight would have been relatively light. It was overcast and the temperature was pretty nice. I ended up cycling 16 miles, but that wind was killer. Every time I turned to head west it was a nightmare. I could have hopped off the bike and walked faster. Getting ready [...]
